List of Alabama Earth Month Events

April 19 - The Olmstead Vision Advisory Board cordially invites you to particpate in the Implementing the Olmstead Vision One Mile Walk/Run and Workshop on April 19, 2008. The event will be held at McAlpine Park and Recreation Center, 115 Avenue F, Birmingham, AL 35218. Registration begins at 8:00am for the Run/Walk. April 19 - ALEEC Spring Conference - Jared Diamond - The Alabama Environmental Education Consortium (ALEEC)  will be holding their Spring Conference this year on April 19th at  Samford University.  This year's featured speaker will be Jared Diamond, author of Guns, Germs and Steel.  His topic will be - Lessons from Environmental Collapses  of Past Societies. April 20 - Earth Sunday worship at Edgewood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham featuring Professor Bill Brown from Columbia theological seminary, " on the relationship between biblical theology and scientific understanding."  For more details visit http://www.edgewoodpc.org

 

UA’s Earth Fest on Sunday April 20th (beginning at 10, ending at sundown).  We only charge if you are selling items at the event: $10 or 10% of your sales, whichever is cheaper.  We ask that you just bring the money to the event.
