Come on down to the Locust Fork River for a bluegrass festival benefiting the Alabama Rivers Alliance. Celebrate Alabama's wonderful river heritage with many exciting activities including:

 

Musical Guests:

Local Artists and Vendors :

  • Autographed books by fabulous outdoor photographer Charles Seifried and designer/writer Jim Felder who will be promoting their newest work, Alabama Outdoors: the sky, the sea, and all between
  • Hypertufa lamps, vases, planters, and handmade jewelry by artist Leslie Martin
  • Unique handcrafted bead and macramé jewelry by artist Bridget Shealy
  • A new collection of nature images in acrylic and oil by Birmingham artist Beth Ragland
  • Whitewater paddling conversation with nationally renowned pro kayaker Jeremy Adkins sharing information about his sport and promoting his upcoming winter kayaking clinics

Directions:

From Birmingham, take I-59 North to Tallapoosa Street Exit (Tarrant), continue through Tarrant on AL Hwy 79 North for about 40-45 minutes, through Pinson, Locust Fork and then Cleveland.  Just after you pass through Cleveland and head toward Blountsville, you will cross a bridge over the Locust Fork River. Just past that bridge is King's Bend on your right.  There's a big black sign that says King's Bend and it has a bright yellow kayak. Just follow the dirt/gravel road through the gate to your right. 

From Huntsville, take US 231 South through Blountsville, and look for King's Bend sign on the left, etc.  

From Decatur, take AL 67S to 231 through Blountsville etc.  We will be waiting to welcome you!

 

Bring: Family and friends to enjoy a day of musical entertainment. You may bring food and drinks.
