A Coosa River Paddling Club and Alabama Scenic River Trail Fundraiser for Coosa River Projects

Events

By registering and participating for both events, you are supporting the Coosa River Paddling Club’s local projects and the efforts of the Alabama Scenic River Trail in continuing to improve amenities on the 631 mile Alabama Scenic River Trail.

The registration fee for each event includes free camping at the Coosa Outdoor Center or Coosa River Adventures for the registered guest and dependents age 12 and younger, personal shuttle to the put-in (people only, no boats), the Saturday evening party at Coosa Outdoor Center, and the Festival t-shirt.

$40 Both Events, Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18: The registration fee for the CRPC Whitewater Festival covers, in addition to items mentioned above, the Whitewater Kayak Competition, Canoe Race, Fun Float and the Alabama Scenic River Trail Float to Ft. Toulouse on Sunday at 10 am.

$25 Coosa River Whitewater Festival registration fee covers, in additional to the items mentioned above, the Whitewater Competition (11:30 am), Canoe Race (11 am), or Fun Whitewater Float (all day) on Saturday, October 17.

$25 Alabama Scenic River Trail Float to Ft. Toulouse, the registration fee covers, in addition to the items mentioned above, a Float trip to historic Ft. Toulouse on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 10 am and a return personal shuttle (no boats) to Coosa Outdoor Center at periodic intervals.

Festival Schedule

Friday, October 16

10:00 am – 10:00 pm: On-Site Registration, Bib Assignment and Packet Pick-Up
9:00 pm: Competitors’ Meeting

Saturday, October 17

8:00 am – 10:00 am: Registration and Packet Pick-Up
9:00 am: Final Competitors’ Meeting
11:00 am: Canoe Race to quartz rock above Moccasin Gap
11:30 am: Whitewater Competition at Moccasin Gap
12:00 noon – 3 pm: Lunch at Moccasin Gap ($5.00 cash covers hot dog, hamburger, chips, soda
6:45 pm: Awards Presentation
7:00 – 11:00 pm: Bad Enough Band

Sunday, October 18

8:00 am – 10:00 am Registration and Packet Pick-up for ASRT Float to Ft. Toulouse
10 am: Float trip to Historic Ft. Toulouse

Canoe and Sit-on-Top Rentals Available

Boat Rentals are available at Coosa Outdoor Center (334.201.5510) and Coosa River Adventures (334.514.0279)
