Sat. 11/21 Meet 8:00am. Books-a-Million. Alabama Nature Center Day Hike.
The
Alabama Wildlife Federation purchased the Lanark Plantation several years ago
and has turned it into a wonderful outdoor education facility. The trails are
very well maintained and are a total of 5 miles. There is some hilly terrain
as well as some very mature bottomland hardwoods. Also there are some small
lakes and open fields. Children able to walk 5 miles welcome.
Bring lunch and
$4.00 admission per person. Optional dinner after the hike.
