Registration for Blount County Solar Home Tour

October 4 & 5, 2008

This is a 3 hour walking tour, so dress comfortably and bring water to drink.

There will be a brown bag lunch discussion at noon both Saturday and Sunday. Stay after the Saturday morning tour or come early for the afternoon tours. All are welcome to bring their lunch and join us. Lemonade will be provided. We will also show the excellent documentary film, Kilowatt Ours (optional and highly recommended!)

To register, please indicate the information requested below. We will send you confirmation of when to come and directions for where to come for that tour time.  The same 4 houses are covered on all tours with different starting points. Saturday morning is the main tour. The afternoon tours have been added for those who cannot come Saturday morning and to handle what we expect will be increased interest in the tour this year.  Our driveways and volunteers are able to handle only so many people, so we may need to limit registration.  Please let us know if the number of people in your party changes.  We want everyone to register, so when you receive the directions, please do not share them with others not registered in your party.

The American Solar Energy Society plans to send an email evaluation survey to participants after the tour.  May we share your email address with the ASES for this purpose?  (   ) yes     (  ) no

Please plan to wear comfortable walking shoes for about a mile walk.  Arrangements can be made for those unable to walk that distance. Two of the houses are fairly wheel-chair friendly. Bring water to drink and a bag lunch if you wish.
