The Flint River Conservation Association will be hosting a second Slackwater Darter Workshop on Saturday April 26th, 2008 beginning at 9:30 am.  The day's activities should last until 3:00 pm.

Ready for an Eco Adventure?

When: Saturday, April 26, 2008 (9:30 am ~ 3 pm)

The Event: Learn about & assist in habitat assessments for

the slackwater darter in the Flint River Watershed.

Following orientation & training, groups will be assigned

local habitats to assess by land. Getting your feet wet is

optional.

Please bring a sack lunch. Refreshments will be a provided.

Directions to the Alabama A&M University WTARS Research

Station

• From Huntsville, take Hwy 431/231 (N. Memorial Pkwy) north

past Meridianville.

• Turn right (east) on Walker Lane (~10 miles north of

Winchester Rd).

• Turn right into the WTARS (~0.5 mile).

• The workshop will be held in the first building on your right

(~0.2 miles south of the entrance).
