Cancer Risk Level Meeting, Tomorrow 11-1 at ADEM in Montgomery

Mine Meeting tonight! 6:30, Cordova’s Union Grove Church

Comments due tomorrow, December 15th!  A mine on the Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River in Walker County has been proposed directly across from the Birmingham Water Works drinking water intake valve, where the mine is asking to release treated runoff.  Nearly 2,000 acres of land along the Mulberry Fork will be mined for coal, creating 29 wastewater outfalls.  The mine's permit application can be seen using this link: http://www.adem.state.al.us/PublicNotice/Nov/NPDES/AL0079162.pdf
