Duck River Dam Lawsuit

Alabama Rivers Alliance, Black Warrior Riverkeeper, Friends of the Mulberry Fork, Wild South, and individuals Nelson Brooke, James Robertson, and Paul Perret have entered into a lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in federal court.  This lawsuit is in response to the Army Corps reissuing a permit to dam the Duck River that was defeated in 2003.

Nuclear Reactor Proposed Near Scottsboro- Public Meeting THIS Tuesday, Sept. 11

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is coming to Rainsville on Tuesday to meet with area residents, “to discuss how the agency will review an expected Combined License (COL) application for new reactors at the Bellefonte site near Scottsboro.” –NRC News
